COMMANDER’S MESSAGE
It is with mixed emotions that I take pen in hand to write my last message as your Post Commander.
First and foremost my thanks and sincere gratitude goes out to those legionnaires, auxiliary members and SAL members who stepped up and pitched in to complete a variety of tasks and assignments. No names mentioned and none are forgotten. To each and every one of these volunteers, my deepest appreciation and thanks for their service to Post 96. We would not be where we are today without their help!
When I agreed to serve an additional year as Commander, I had great expectations that we could accomplish more than what we actually did.
However, I am confident that I am turning over the reins of Post 96 to a most dedicated and deserving Legionnaire, Andy Battistone. He has done more for Post 96 than any one individual over the past five years. Andy freely donates his construction know-how and skills for the benefit of our Post.
Thank you for the honor of serving as Commander of Hayes-Velhage Post 96.
